FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT
Due to the fact that our registration does not cover our ice costs, it is necessary for us to do fundraising to meet our financial obligations each year.
At registration, you are required to give a cheque for $100.00 dated March 31, 2010 to cover your commitment to our club fundraisers. Participation in the following events ensures that your cheque will not be cashed.
Ø Deliver telephone books in Grand Bend. Your route will be given and information supplied at a later date.
Ø Assist in some form with carnival. Carnival is the major event of our year and it requires a great deal of cooperation and assistance from everyone. A sheet is handed out closer to carnival with various ways that you can help.
Ø If skating 2 days per week, you are required to participate in at least two other fundraising activities. If skating 1 day per week, you are required to participate in at least three other fundraising activities. This includes selling our “regular” fundraising items ie: meat pies, frozen food etc. Several options are available and we hope you will participate in as many as possible.
If everyone does a little each time, it adds up to a lot.
Another cheque for $50.00 dated for August 28, 2010 is given to cover the cost of your commitment of working at the Zurich Bean Festival or Grand Bend Motorplex. Again, participation in one of these events ensures that your cheque will not be cashed. (If both of these events are worked the 2nd one counts as one of the extra 3 fundraisers required.) If our enrolment is not adequate, you may be asked to help with both if you can.
